Stop Contraband Prison Mail in its Tracks
Today, the prison mailroom is the critical frontline in the fight to prevent illicit substances, including powerful and deadly synthetic cannabinoids, from entering correctional facilities.
Organised criminal gangs are exploiting the prison mail system by spraying or dissolving powerful synthetic substances, like K2 and Spice, into paper to bypass the manual screening process.
At the same time, illicit items of clothing, fabric, and herbal materials are increasingly being used to distribute these dangerous chemical solutions throughout the facility.
Where other technologies struggle to keep pace with constant chemical mutations, ContraSCAN provides a uniquely uncomplicated, handheld solution that enables mailroom staff to instantly detect the presence of synthetic cannabinoids with minimal training, low investment, and immediate results.
foram 3®
785nm Raman Spectrometer for Forensic Applications
LEARN MORE
Offering forensic scientists the full analytical power of Raman
Unlike other Raman systems, the foram3 has been developed specifically for forensic examinations and includes dedicated casework management software providing automatic spectral comparisons and data archiving with search and match facilities.
The foram3 can be further enhanced through the addition of a comprehensive library of forensic Raman spectra for the identification of unknowns.
A Modular System for Trace Evidence Examination

Built Around a Leica Laboratory Microscope
The ffTA is a powerful and flexible multi-functional system that provides the crime laboratory with a range of analytical facilities on a single microscope operated through a single PC. By switching from module to module the operator is able to perform a wide range of analytical tasks to extract the maximum amount of forensic evidence in the shortest possible time.
Built around the Leica DM2700M laboratory microscope with high power LED illumination, the ffTA is a unique modular system that enables the user to add functions to meet specific laboratory requirements. Using an optical multiplexer the operator simply switches the image from one module to another.
Detect Illicit Substances
Our drug detection solutions detect illicit substances rapidly and accurately, even at very low concentrations: supporting forensic analysis, enforcement action and timely intelligence in high-risk environments.
