What will be covered?

Discover how the DCS 6 fingerprint imaging platform helps forensic laboratories reveal, capture and enhance fingerprint evidence across a wide range of substrates and development techniques.

Latent fingerprints often present unique imaging challenges, particularly when deposited on patterned, reflective, textured or multicoloured surfaces. In this webinar, our forensic specialists will demonstrate how DCS 6 combines advanced camera technology, multi-spectral illumination and powerful enhancement software to maximise fingermark visibility and image quality.

Through live demonstrations and real-world case examples, attendees will explore the complete DCS 6 workflow, from the initial examination of evidence through to image capture, enhancement and reporting. The session will highlight how DCS 6 supports the examination of latent, dusted, cyanoacrylate-developed and chemically treated fingermarks using a range of imaging techniques across the visible, ultraviolet and infrared spectrum.

Special attention will be given to advanced imaging options available within the platform, including reflected ultraviolet imaging (RUVIS), which can reveal latent fingermarks on challenging surfaces prior to chemical treatment or powder application. Attendees will see how different illumination wavelengths, camera configurations and imaging techniques can be used to improve contrast, suppress background interference and recover additional ridge detail.

The webinar will also demonstrate how DCS 6 integrates image enhancement, audit trail functionality and reporting tools into a single forensic workflow, helping laboratories produce consistent, high-quality fingerprint evidence suitable for comparison and AFIS submission.

The session will conclude with a live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss applications, surfaces and workflow challenges directly with forensic application specialists
