Essex Police utilises foster+freeman technology to combat burglaries
With burglary rates dropping across the county, and approximately 130 burglary charges secured throughout 2024, Essex Police are one of the most successful forces in the country at tackling burglary, with this success supported by their use of foster+freeman technology.
During a recent visit to a crime scene, Essex Police crime scene investigator Jess Wiseman gave an insight into how the force and their investigators were cracking down on burglary, pursuing offenders, and securing convictions:
“We come to a scene and pay meticulous attention to even the minutest details as these often provide the critical evidence needed to apprehend perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
A burglar might think they have not left a trace of themselves or any evidence behind, but our training and equipment enables us to look in places others might not have noticed.
I’m looking for the key which helps the investigators unlock the case and find those responsible.
My warning to burglars is very clear, we are onto you, and we will be relentless in our pursuit of finding those who break into people’s homes.”
During investigations, Jess makes use of multispectral foster+freeman Crime-lite technology to detect the faintest traces of evidence. Why not explore our trusted Crime-lite range and learn more about how these market-leading devices can help you detect more evidence?
