NCT Europe 2023 taking place in the Onderzeebootloods, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, will welcome the highest decision makers from the European CBRNe, C-IED, EOD Community, again providing a networking and knowledge exchange platform for local & federal first responders, as well as industry leaders in the fields of CBRNe, C-IED and EOD.

Organised by the Centre for Forensic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, this conference will focus on the challenges faced by forensic science professionals. The conference will bring together the scientific community, representatives of law enforcement, judiciary authorities, and industry representatives: including experts in the field of biometrics, genetics and forensic chemistry.

We are delighted to announce that ADS and the Department for Business and Trade UK Defence and Security Exports will be hosting a Defence & Security Trade Mission to Bucharest. Starting in 2017, Romania has committed to spend at least 2.0% of GDP annually on defence through 2027. In 2022 the defence budget was increased to 2.5% of GDP. The increased spending level offers a clear opportunity for the UK defence and security sectors. Romania is also looking to modernise its own defence industry through international partnerships.

The Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists (MAFS) was founded in 1971 as a non-profit organization where scientists from the Midwest could gather and discuss unique cases or research to help further the field and solve problems within the disciplines. 

Over the years, MAFS has grown to include participants from all over the U.S. and even some from outside the U.S.; however, the original goal of the organization has not changed.  Annual fall meetings and spring workshops are held to provide opportunities for scientists to advance their expertise and share their knowledge with others.  A visiting scientist program is available to aid laboratories with specific training needs.  University students are encouraged to join the organization and present relevant research that may impact the field.
