Security & Policing 2026: Supporting the JSaRC Immersive Experience
Earlier this month we were pleased to take part in the UK Government’s Security & Policing event, delivered by the Home Office and bringing together government, law enforcement and industry partners to address complex security challenges.
Throughout the event, our stand remained busy with visitors from a wide range of agencies, all keen to explore how forensic technologies can support frontline operations. Attendees had the opportunity to get hands-on with our document examination systems, including VSC® NOMAX and VSC® 90, using the technology to assess travel and identity documents and gain a better understanding of how these tools are applied in operational environments.
In addition to activity on the stand, we were pleased to support the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC) immersive experience. This interactive scenario demonstrated how intelligence, technology and collaboration can be combined to disrupt criminal networks involved in human trafficking. Participants worked through a simulated investigation, using document examination techniques as part of a wider, multi-agency response to identify suspicious activity and strengthen border security.
The event also provided an opportunity to engage directly with end users, discuss current challenges and gather valuable feedback from those working at the frontline of border security and law enforcement. Conversations throughout the week highlighted the increasing need for technologies that support rapid, reliable decision-making while maintaining the level of detail required for forensic investigation.
Visitors to the stand were also given an exclusive early look at a new Foster+Freeman technology, offering a preview of developments aimed at further enhancing frontline document and identity verification capabilities.
Security & Policing continues to be an important platform for collaboration between government, industry and technology providers. We were pleased to contribute to this year’s event and to showcase how our solutions can support agencies working to protect borders, disrupt criminal activity and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
