Strengthening Forensic Science Capabilities in Bolivia: Foster+Freeman and HANSA Expand Strategic Partnership
Foster+Freeman is pleased to continue strengthening its partnership with HANSA Proyectos & Servicios, supporting the advancement of forensic science and investigative capabilities in Bolivia.
The evening marked an important milestone in our growing collaboration and provided an opportunity to formally present the alliance to representatives from government institutions, diplomatic organisations and the wider business community. Hosted with the support of the British Embassy in Bolivia, the event brought together a range of stakeholders interested in the role that advanced forensic technologies can play in supporting modern criminal investigations and national security.
Events such as this provide a valuable platform for dialogue and collaboration. Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to learn more about the technologies that Foster+Freeman will make available in Bolivia through our partnership with HANSA, and how these tools can support investigative agencies in addressing increasingly complex forensic challenges.
Through this collaboration, we are working together to introduce a range of specialised forensic technologies designed to assist investigators in the detection, recovery and analysis of evidence. These solutions support multiple areas of forensic investigation, including fingerprint development, the examination of identity documents, digital forensic analysis and the study of trace evidence such as fibres and narcotics.
The availability of advanced forensic tools is increasingly important for law enforcement agencies and forensic laboratories as they respond to evolving criminal techniques and growing volumes of digital and physical evidence. Reliable analytical technologies allow investigators to detect evidence that may not be visible to the naked eye, analyse materials with greater precision and generate robust forensic findings that support investigative and judicial processes.
By working with HANSA Proyectos & Servicios, we are able to combine our expertise in forensic science innovation with a partner that has deep knowledge of the local landscape and extensive experience supporting institutions of the Bolivian state. HANSA’s strong presence in the country and long-standing relationships with public sector organisations make them an ideal partner for delivering specialised scientific technologies and ensuring that agencies receive the support and training needed to implement them effectively.
A key focus of the partnership is helping investigative agencies access modern forensic tools that can strengthen their technical capabilities and support the work of forensic specialists. From improving the recovery of latent fingerprints to enabling more detailed analysis of identity documents and trace materials, these technologies play a critical role in helping investigators identify and interpret evidence.
The collaboration also reflects the growing importance of international partnerships in addressing complex security challenges. By bringing together organisations with complementary expertise, partnerships such as this enable the sharing of knowledge, technology and best practices that can help strengthen investigative infrastructure and forensic capabilities.
The event at the British Residence provided an ideal setting to highlight these shared goals. During the evening, representatives from both organisations spoke about the importance of cooperation between technology providers, regional partners and public institutions in supporting the continued development of forensic science capabilities. Guests were also able to discuss the opportunities that modern forensic technologies present for improving investigative processes and strengthening evidence-based policing.
Beyond the formal presentation of the partnership, the event created an opportunity for open discussion about the role that scientific innovation plays in addressing today’s security challenges. The conversations throughout the evening reinforced the importance of collaboration between international technology developers and regional partners who understand the specific needs and priorities of local institutions.
As we continue to develop our relationship with HANSA Proyectos & Servicios, our shared objective is to support the ongoing advancement of forensic science capabilities in Bolivia. By expanding access to specialised technologies and working closely with investigative agencies, we aim to contribute to the continued modernisation of forensic infrastructure and the effective analysis of evidence.
We are proud to be working alongside HANSA in this important initiative and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead.
